Year 9 Food Technology

Recently the Year 9 Food Technology classes completed a Multicultural Foods Design Brief where they could research a country of their choice. Whilst investigating their selected country they gained an insight into the common ingredients used and how food is typically prepared, cooked and served. Students explored common savoury recipes from their selected countries then had an opportunity to cook a dish of their choice in a practical lesson.

The kitchen came alive with a large variety of ingredients, cooking methods and aromas spanning from all parts of the world including pizzas, a variety of different pasta dishes, bao buns, sushi, enchiladas and taco bowls, kebabs and pretzels.

Well done year 9’s what an amazing effort.
