Introducing Macedon Ranges Inaugural Youth Council
We are proud to recognise and congratulate Sacred Heart College students Matilda Wills and Koby Campbell (Year 10) on their appointment to the inaugural Youth Council.
As Youth Councillors, these students will have the opportunity to represent the voices of young people within our community, contribute to important discussions and projects, and develop their leadership and advocacy skills. Matilda has been elected Deputy Youth Mayor for a 12-month term after delivering a compelling speech to her fellow Youth Council members.
Throughout their term, Youth Councillors will work alongside Council and fellow representatives from across the municipality to identify issues affecting young people, champion new ideas and help shape initiatives that create positive outcomes for youth.
We are incredibly proud to have students from Sacred Heart College involved in this important program and look forward to seeing the impact they make in our community.
