In the closing days of November, a group of our senior student leaders traveled to Templestowe to take part in the most recent Seeds of Justice conference. This two day event invited our participants to consider deeply our calling to hear the cry of the earth and to care for our common home. Led by guest speaker Sally Neaves, our students entered into conversations about how they can serve as leaders in a manner that is hope-filled, creative and compassionate. The event also proved to be a time of fellowship and connection with students from other Mercy schools, and our young leaders are to be commended for the warm and welcoming spirit they offered to all present at the conference. This special time of formation will be a key point of reference as they take on their leadership roles more fully in 2024.
