Chapel Refurbishment – 2026

In preparation for the Chapel Centenary later this year, refurbishment works will begin during the Term 1 holidays.

This first stage will focus on cleaning internal surfaces (walls, windows and finishes), repainting, and stonework in the sanctuary. If time permits, work will also begin on the parquetry flooring. These works are an important step in caring for one of the most significant and sacred spaces in our College.

For nearly 100 years, the Chapel has been at the heart of our College faith life. It is a place where our community gathers for prayer and liturgy, celebrates key moments in the life of the College, and provides a quiet space for reflection, stillness, and encounter with God. Across generations, it has held the stories, joy, hopes, and sorrows of students, staff, and families.

The Chapel will be inaccessible for most of the year while these works are underway. During this time, prayer, liturgy, and reflection will continue in other spaces across the College.

These initial works mark the beginning of a broader program of renewal, connected to our 2026 theme, “From a Good Beginning, Mercy Flourishes.” As we approach the centenary of the Chapel, we take this opportunity to honour its history while renewing its place at the centre of our College’s faith life into the future.
